Tampa Bay ITE (TBITE) Home

Upcoming Meetings:
TBITE organizes quarterly lunch meetings, social outings and an annual awards banquet. The University of South Florida has a very active student chapter of ITE and we'd like to make sure they are an active part of the TBITE family as well, but we need your help. The sponsorship will cover the cost of student attendance at each TBITE meeting as well as the Annual Banquet. For more information please contact TBITE officers

2015 TBITE Applications are available here and sponsorship forms are available as well.

Joe Grimail

Joe Grimail, TBITE's president for 2013 and board member since 2011, passed away last month.

He was the esteemed colleague of many professionals in the Tampa area, and the primary shareholder of Grimail Crawford, Inc., which he founded in 1999. He was an experienced, intelligent engineer who ran his company with integrity and treated staff as family.

His knowledge, experience and influence in the transportation engineering industry throughout Florida was significant. Joe was active in several other professional associations as well, such as the Florida Engineering Society, and ASCE. Joe has received many awards over the course of his 28 year career. He was named Transportation Professional of the Year by TBITE in 2009, and received the Engineer of the Year Award through FES in 2012.

Joe was a community advocate in Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa, and was active in many associations such as the Westshore Alliance. He genuinely cared for the region he served, his clients, many of which he considered close and personal friends, and the professionals and staff with whom he worked.

He will be missed.
